Do you know Kim Person? You Should.

Do We Truly Value the Gifts We've Been Given? Celebrating Kim Person's Music

"Exceedingly, Abundantly, Above all that you could ask or think, Keep surprising me, overwhelming me, You keep blessing me, more than enough for me."

These lyrics echo through my car stereo and reverberate through my mind. Whether listening to the original or the remix, "More Than Enough" by Kim Person is a testament that the anointing and divinely orchestrated talents have no expiration date. When I encounter artists like Kim Person, I often wonder if we truly deserve a gift like her. In a just world, a Billboard charting artist and 5-time Stellar Award nominee should be known worldwide. Kim Person has consistently delivered music that touches the soul and spreads messages of love and inclusivity. Her latest project, "Speak Life and Live," an intimate collection of songs written personally by Kim, should be eagerly awaited by all. The intersections of generations and genres in her music should culminate in a multitude of voices sharing the truth of her powerful message that all are welcome and loved.

The legacy she's creating should be honored with signage celebrating the roots of this Robeson County, North Carolina native. Perhaps it's because I've had the privilege of knowing her personally, witnessing her unmatched work ethic, or hearing her testimonies and seeing her moments of full transparency on stage, but I wholeheartedly believe that she is helping ease troubled minds and uplifting lowly spirits. Kim Person is a testament to tenacity, strength, and faithfulness.

Throughout her career, Kim Person has shared the stage with renowned artists like Donnie McClurkin, Bishop T.D. Jakes, and Yolanda Adams; in my opinion, many of these artists should be considered her contemporaries. It's time for the Grammys to call and celebrate Kim Person and her 7th album, "Speak Life and Live."

Let us not only recognize her musical prowess but also embrace her audacity to be a message of love, unity, and faith that her music carries. Kim Person continues to set the standard and make a profound difference in the lives of others through organic music, and we are privileged to be part of her journey. If you don't know Kim Person, you should. Her voice is a divine gift, and if you've heard her sing, there would be no doubt that angels are real.
