Special Announcement: Love & Separation

After much consideration, deep soul-searching, and determining what is best for their family, J. Dwayne and Lalita Garnett have decided to separate with plans to end their marriage of 13 years. Although they are no longer a couple, they are still united as loving parents and will continue to raise their children together. They respectfully ask that you honor their family's privacy.

As with any transition, there are several unknowns.  However, be encouraged in knowing that the mission and vision of Love Is A Parable will continue to move forward, most appropriately, heal forward.  Rest assured, J and Lalita still believe in love and the sanctity of marriage.  They are not enemies, nor do they have the desire to be.  Though there will be some organizational restructuring, the majority of the changes were already in motion.   If anything, this expedited the process.

Because many of you have become family to J and Lalita, you are probably wondering what are the best ways to provide support to them individually and for the organization.   Here are a few ways to help:

  • Pray or send positive thoughts

  • Resist the urge to ask, what happened.

  • Resist the urge to pick sides or team.

  • Give them time to sort through this.  J and Lalita have been together for 14 years and this is quite the adjustment for them, equally, their children.

  • Don’t attempt to navigate their journey.

  • Refrain from sharing separation or divorce horror stories with them.

  • If you supported them as a couple, support them individually.

  • Continue to believe that unity is still possible through love.

  • Continue to promote unity, love, and kindness.

  • Continue to share with others the benefits of our services.

  • Continue to support Love Is A Parable.

  • Basically, continue to serve in the same capacity as you have.
