So, this is 40? Well, bring it: Word of Reflection by Lalita Garnett
The Backstory
The Leadership Team of Love Is A Parable decided to forgo our 3rd Anniversary Celebration and truly utilize that time to honor, Co-Founder Lalita L. Garnett by hosting a Surprise 40th Birthday Party for her with a few close friends and family. For nearly four years, she has devoted an enormous amount of time working full time while attempting to maintain the unpredictable and at times, the extremely rigorous task of balancing family and new business startup. Equally, this was a momentous time by transitioning to 40 years of age.
With several weeks of planning and a few secrets being kept, the Leadership Team, Lalita’s best friends, and family members were able to pull off the perfect surprise, gift, and homage to her living legacy. Read her words below…
Embracing 40
“Am I really about to be 40 years old?!" This, I said to myself. I didn't feel accomplished in several areas of my life. There were so many things I've been through that tried to break me. With the insecurities I've struggled with, often I asked God (Yahweh) why? And, His response was "because you're stronger."
As I continued my reflective thinking, I began to thank my Heavenly Father for loving me without conditions and always being present. The many things that I've been through have only made me stronger. Something great is currently being birth out of my insecurities...my purpose! Yep, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all real soon.
