Authenticate Your Life: Happiness
After several years away from the stage, I am returning to one of my first loves. We should never give up on who we are! Often times, we attempt to compromise our organic nature for the sake of survival or fear of being ostracized. Sometimes, stepping out is not so much about rebelling as it is living! See, survival focuses on mere existence, whereas, living encompasses the pursuit of life. Life is something many of us do not have time to appreciate because of the "survival state of mind" has permeated our sense of being. Whether this state is conditioned or pursued, we have to transition to a pure a state of enjoyment. You deserve to be happy. Happiness should never be perceived as a gift or privilege. It is our humanistic right.
Anyhow, this return to the stage, has allowed me to revisit the things that were important to me. It is refreshing to reencounter self-worth and dream. It is paramount that we understand that self does not have to be compromised for the sake of success. There is no success greater than the unregulated freedom of enjoying yourself and the expansiveness of life. Societal norms, classism, and dogmatic sects have restricted our ligament of liberation. So naturally, there will be some level of resistance until the confidence in our ability is restored. I challenge you to return to that which you have neglected and reaffirm your happiness... authenticate your life!
