LIAP Graduated Another Amazing Group of Love Advocates: Cohort 09
“We all should be encouraged to slow down and lookup.”
Many of us have personal convictions and foundational perspectives. In most cases, these vantage points did not come without some lesson, significant event, or cultural norm. Understanding that we all have valuable experiences, unacknowledged or known, makes teaching the Love Advocacy Course somewhat nerve-wracking. Providing original content from personal experiences positions a person to constantly have a disposition of vulnerability, which is difficult to be comfortable with. However, with each cohort, there is a stretching to learn more about oneself while simultaneously pouring into others.
For eight weeks, we had the privilege of getting to know seven amazing women, who served as eager learners but also, beta-testers for the new curriculum, Ampersands & Commas. Ampersands & Commas: Love Is Communicating is the second installment to our love advocacy training and we needed an opportunity to present the new material. Through this course, we are able to present our revised methodology and learn from one another through reflective storytelling and engagement. There are no words to describe the level of connectedness and meaningful interactions that took place.
Tonight, we were able to celebrate our journey together with our graduation ceremony. Even then, it was an emotional experience of gratitude and accomplishment. With honor, we present to you our latest cohort of Certified Love Advocates:
