Hero, lay down your cape.

Hello Hero!

The world is heavy enough, you shouldn’t feel like you have to carry it on your own.  Navigating through life can be extremely challenging. Though there are several rewarding moments, the unrelenting pressure to succeed can appear to be overwhelming. For many of us, “success” has been outlined and defined for us; therefore, it has become increasingly difficult to recognize how successful we truly are.   So, here is the moment we have to do something a little different.  We challenge you, Superhero, to lay down your cape and take a break.

Yes, we recognize that is a change in routine, and naturally, we are creatures of habits; therefore, we are providing a few ways to assist while laying down your cape.

  • Remember, this is only temporary. Take this time to rest. Yes, rest, even silence your mind and thoughts to things that may cause anxiety or strain.

  • Reconnect with things that recalibrate and recharge you. This will be a great time to catch with friends and family, read a book, or watch an awesome movie.

  • Recite positive affirmations.

  • Pray and/or meditate

  • Draft a vision statement for your life. If written already, revisit.

  • Spend some time with nature. Fresh air will do you some good.

  • Exercise an old gift, skill, or talent. This would be a great time to finish that book, write that song, play that instrument, or create something.

  • Make a list of all of the things you have been successful at doing. List your degrees, certificates, or diplomas; better yet, latest purchases, even managing to pay the bills. The list of accomplishments can go pretty far, from weight loss to entrepreneurship. Most importantly, embrace you and see the value within your heroism.
