Do You Believe In Angels? Have you met Celeste Hinnant?

Do you believe in angels?  What about extraordinary beings?

If not, I am unsure of how to fully articulate the remarkable nature and spirit of Celeste Hinnant. See, I was graced with her presence nearly four years ago.   Even then, at first encounter, it seemed that we had met before. It felt as if she was family, well, I knew she was family.   From there, we have prayed together, laughed together, and worshipped together.  No, I am very serious because of the type of play we were in, we had to do all of that.  Unashamed, I must admit that there were many times that we didn’t ‘play’ worship because some things you can’t play with.

Celeste and I have worked on several projects together, and no matter the role, assignment, or environment, she remains the same.   She is an encourager, motivator, and team player.  She can be found nearly any and everywhere rooting for someone, seeing the best in them, and with a smile.  I honestly don’t think she has any bad days.  If she does, she must have an extremely optimistic perspective because she exudes positivity.

Whenever the phone rings and Celeste has a request, my answer is always yes.  When asked to be one of the instructors during the Lift Every Voice Teen Workshop, I was flabbergasted to be selected. However, though I stood in as an instructor, I truly was the student.  I was impressed by the creative and thought-provoking presentations by each instructor and the responses and artistry of each student.  Most importantly, I absorbed the words that weren’t spoken but personified through the character and demeanor of Celeste.  She embodied, "words have power and they have something to say!”  Because of her, I reflect on what does my character say about me.

Celeste is definitely an energy that the world needs.   With her gifts and skill sets, she should have a school for creative and character development.  It is my prayer that other towns gravitate towards her and support her crafts.   Lives are changed whenever she is around.  I am a living testament.

So, do you believe in angels or extraordinary beings?  If not, have you met Celeste Hinnant?
