Giving up should never be an option.   Often times, the "struggles of life" make us feel as if surrendering is the only option.   No; if you want "better", than pursue it aggressively.  No one should ever be content with settling.   Settling open the doors for commitment to failure; which has the ability to contaminate and destroy everything you've worked so hard to build.  So, don't settle in your relationship, career, family, and/or faith.   Though life has its share of difficulties, it should never be lived as "moments of regrets".   Life should be enjoyable and rewarding.  Surround yourself with positive people who understand your worth and have a vision for "greater".  Whatever you do, don't SETTLE!
