Come Out and Return

[An excerpt from the lesson: "Come Out and Return"]

"Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Yahweh's vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves” [Jer. 51:6].

As I examine life and the current circumstances of daily events, I have no choice but to see the parallelism of the Modern-Babylonian society and its ability to infiltrate the body of believers; i.e. the church to become advocators of compromise, which has to be corrected before its subtle influences undermine the determination of believers to stand fast and trust Yah.  We must encourage “set-apartness” to endure through the perilous days that lie ahead. Babylon has always been a symbol for wealth, power, and sin by way of mixing, compromise, and confusion. Yah wants his people to come out of Babylon and return to him.

“Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says Yahweh Almighty. "But you ask, 'How are we to return” [Mal. 3:7]?
