Week 2: Journey to 36 Check-In

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I feel like I should be drinking a glass of wine as I write this. This first week had my thoughts all over the place and me wanting to give up, before getting my feet wet. I had gotten to the point of doubt and wanting all the foods I love, but definitely don't need right now. So, I emailed my Food Therapist (Nutritionist) because I needed an appointment asap. I wanted chocolate, lemon pepper wings with the fries, and a slice of Nantucket Strawberry Shortcake in one sitting. Yet, instead of reminding me of my weight, goals, and that I know how to conquer these cravings, she simply just LISTENED.....and offered her gentle advice towards the end of my appointment. We sometimes assume people who are strong don't need help, but that's far from the truth because we do. I learned it's okay to ask for help because I'm not superwoman all the time, and a support system is needed sometimes. So, last week I asked a friend to go walking with me and asked some of my Love Is A Parable family to help me in the gym. I also worked out at home as well. At home, I did some dumbbell YouTube videos, jumped rope, with walking and running intervals. This week I plan on going to the gym at least 2-3 times, jumping rope, walking and running intervals, continuing to eat mostly clean, and renewing my mind of the food demons ..... because DISCIPLINE IS NEEDED on this journey. Well, that's enough about me lol.
